Good governance ensures that the welfare of the people supersedes any self centered or personal considerations when implementing promises that facilitated the election of leaders in the present dispensation.
However, when valuable energy is dissipated in buying over contrary views in the midst of non-performance, then the future is bleak.
Indeed, performance at all levels of governance can only be assessed and evaluated by visible projects at specified geographical locations, any other parameter might not convince impoverished Nigerians.
Even though the monetary induced silence of a sizable number of erstwhile critics has prompted great suspicions and unending discussions among the populace, the desperate bid to cover up the shortcomings of governance by the powers that be is very dangerous and inimical to development.
Efforts should be geared towards leaving behind legacies that are enduring.
