God bestows different gifts to individuals, while Christians do not have to be identical with each other. Christians do not have to be clones.
Rather, Christians ought to take it upon themselves to identify and acknowledge each other's gifts.
Sadly, there seems to be little efforts by Churches in the areas of training and encouragement of these gifts.
Some may be gifted as apostles, some as prophets, some as evangelists and some as preachers.
Several might not be comfortable with giftedness or might even nurture nurture hidden opposition to gifts, preferring a kind of banality which renders the gospel innocuous.
All must pray in thanksgiving to the God of all gifts, who makes each of us different and encourages us to welcome each other in trust and love.
We thank God for the great evangelists, saints and hymn writers, missionaries and teachers of our own and every age.
