It is a thing of joy that Nigeria has finally returned to the January/December Budget cycle.
However, there are several irregularities in the 2020 Budget passed by the National Assembly of which all the entire members are living in opulence and grandeur.
Sadly, convincing explanations are still been awaited by Nigerians on the reasons for jerking up the 2020 Budget to N10.59 trillion($34.72 billion) with a deficit of $6.03 billion to be financed through foreign and domestic borrowing.
The benchmark price for crude oil was raised from $55 to $57, the feasibility of this is yet to be determined.
Most importantly, Nigerians have the right to know the 2019 Budget performance from those who they allegedly gave the mandate to lead them up till 2023, that is if really the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary are truly representing millions of impoverished and poverty stricken Nigerians.
