The Federal Government's commendation of labor for suspending the planned nationwide protests has only confirmed that labor unions in Nigeria are now its appendages.
This assertion was made by the All Workers Convergence(AWC) through its National Coordinator, Comrade Andrew Emelieze.
''For commending labor leaders, the Federal Government has been able to prove the critics of labor right by simply confirming that labor leaders are now appendages of the Federal Government, working in the interest of the Government against the wishes of the workers they represent. Government has exposed labor leaders that they are no longer serving the interest of the people'', Comrade Emelieze noted.
