The decision of the Kano State Government to revert to the payment of N18,000 as minimum wage to workers in the state has been described as a bad omen.
This is the position of the All Workers Convergence(ACW), which made this known through its National Coordinator, Comrade Andrew Emelieze.
''Workers in Nigeria have entered a one chance bus and are been attacked on all fronts by the luciferous policies of the Government at all levels. The action of the kano state to revert to the N18,000 minimum wage is a bad omen for not only workers in Kano state but also in the 35 other states. The Government is able to do this and scot-free because it believes that the labor movements are docile,'' Comrade Emelize concluded.
